Managing an existing Connection

This pages guides you through updating, removing, or testing an existing Connection.

Updating an existing Connection

  1. Go to the Connection Configuration Interface.
     
  2. Under the Actions column of the configured connection you want to update, click Edit.



  3. A screen very similar to the initial screen used to add the connection will be displayed, which will allow you to modify the details of the connection.
    If you want to configure more options, click Advanced.



  4. Under the Advanced option, you'll find Mapping Configuration.

    Under Mapping Configuration, you can specify what options are to be made available on "Associate" endpoint servlet:

    1. Associate Only - Only associate, no data synchronization 
    2. Associate and Push to JIRA - After associating, all updates will be pushed to JIRA based on mapped fields
    3. Associate and pull from JIRA - After associating, the update will pull from JIRA to Salesforce.com based on mapped fields. Only one associate is allowed.



  5. Update the fields as required and click Update to save your changes.

Removing an existing Connection

  1. Go to the Connection Configuration Interface.
     
  2. Under the Actions column of the configured connection you want to remove, click Remove.
     
  3. On the next screen, you will be prompted to confirm the removal. You can either Cancel or Delete the connection.



  4. Click Delete.
     
  5. You will be brought back to the first screen.
    The deleted connection should no longer appear in this list.

Testing an existing Connection

  1. Go to the Connection Configuration Interface.
     
  2. Under the Actions column of the configured connection you want to test, click Test.
    This will run a test to validate the details you have provided are correct.

  3. If the test result is successful, then the connection is ready to be used.



  4. If the test result is unsuccessful, try troubleshooting using the Diagnostic Tool.
