January 2024

We are starting the year stronger than ever 💪 with Dashboard Hub Pro! The evolution of Dashboard Hub for Jira with lots of new powerful features – plus the best Dataplane Reports functionalities (more info).

Switch between chart and data

The data behind the JQL Custom Charts is available in the Data tab as a table, as shown below:

Chart statistics

Users can now select different statistics in the gadget configuration. This set of statistics is based on the underlying data:

  • Total displays the total number of issues or an aggregation (e.g., sum) of the values.

  • Average indicates the overall average.

  • Max issues statistic or maximum value.

  • Min issues statistic or minimum value.

Normalized charts

Stacked charts have now the option to account for relative proportions or percentages rather than absolute values. The aim of normalization is to compare the contribution of each category or “group by” to the total. This is useful when comparing the relative distribution of different categories within a dataset, and also when highlighting trends or shifts in the proportional composition over time or across different groups.

Cumulative charts

The JQL Custom Charts gadget now provides cumulative data for line, multi-line, bar, stacked bar, grouped bar, area and stacked area charts. This type of visualization helps viewers understand not only the values for each individual period but also the overall trend or accumulation over time. It's commonly used when you want to emphasize the total impact or cumulative effect of a variable across multiple time periods.

1D and 2D Pivot Table

The 1D (One-Dimensional) Pivot Table allows you to summarize information in a single dimension (rows). The total values display aggregated metrics or measures of the chosen dimension.

1D_pivot_table.png

The 2D (Two-Dimensional) Pivot Table extends the 1D Pivot Table by allowing you to summarize data across two dimensions simultaneously (rows and columns). So you can cross-reference data based on two different fields. Here again, the cells display aggregated metrics  or measures.
