Data Center approval
Graphviz Diagrams for Confluence version 3.2 is now a Data Center approved app for the Atlassian Marketplace. In addition to being Data Center compatible, Graphviz Diagrams for Confluence is now a tested and verified app that complies with Data Center approved rigorous testing criteria. This ensures delivering a high standard of reliability in a cluster and performance at scale.
This release introduces over 20 pre-configured templates that make it easier for users to get started with a diagram. A new parameter Template is added in the macro editor, enabling the user to pick an existing template and make further changes suitable to their requirement.
The new Layout parameter allows you to select from the most extensively used Graphviz layouts (dot, neato, twopi, circo, and fdp) to create directed, undirected, circular, and radial graphs.
Attachment management options
Use the new Attachment versions to keep parameter to limit the number of attachments on your page by entering the maximum number of attachment versions you would like to retain. The macro automatically deletes the oldest version and adds the latest version of the attachment to the page, which optimizes page performance and space consumed.
Generate diagrams by calling other macros
The new Render wiki markup macros in body parameter, when enabled, allows you to create diagrams from macros nested in the Graphviz Diagrams for Confluence macros.
Easy navigation to the configuration for admins
Admins can now easily navigate to the Graphviz Configuration page using CONFLUENCE ADMINISTRATION > General Configuration > BOB SWIFT CONFIGURATION > Graphviz.
New and improved configuration page for admins
The configuration page now provides the following new tabs for admins:
- Global Configuration
- Restrict URL access - When this option is enabled, the URL parameter is restricted to only the URLs available in the Confluence whitelist.
- Help Us Improve the Product - When this option is enabled, it allows us to collect some usage data that will help us improve our product. To learn more about what is being sent, refer to Analytics Data.
- Templates - This tab lists all the default templates provided by Graphviz Diagrams for Confluence. These templates provide users with a quick start to creating diagrams and the respective macro editors are pre-configured with these templates.
For more information, refer to Graphviz Configuration.
Use a URL for Graphviz source
Is your Graphviz file saved elsewhere? You can now directly use the URL link in the macro editor to import the source code into the page.
