What's new in 4.0

Data Center Compatibility

Comala Share It 4.0.0 is now a Data Center approved version of Comala Share It.

If you have a Confluence data center license, you will be required to purchase the corresponding data center license for Comala Share It when upgrading the app.

When the read-only mode is enabled this does not affect link expiry and a shared version of a page can still be viewed - see Administrator Guide.

What's new in 3.4

Confluence 7 Compatibility

  • Comala Share It is now compatible with Confluence 7.0

What's new in 3.3

Collaborate in Share Pages with Disqus

You can allow external comments on your shared pages using Disqus.

Disqus comments allow third parties to collaborate with you, commenting on your shared pages.

What's new in 3.2

Shows comments on shared page

A new configuration item allows admins to show the page comments when pages are shared.

Now, in the Share It Configuration page, you will find the following option (disabled by default)

And, if you activate it, shared pages display the existing comments.

What's new in 3.1

Space administrators can now see which pages and attachments are shared from the content tools section of the space administration console.

Improved global configuration

Global Administration has been given a freshen-up and it is now easier to enable link sharing in a few select spaces.

What's new in 3.0

New Add-on Name

We want to introduce you Comala Share It for Confluence Server. New name, new logo (and better user interface).

We are making the name and logo consistent with the rest of the Comala add-ons family - Share Attachments and Pages will now be known as Comala Share It for Confluence Server.

All existing licenses are still valid, if you already have Share Attachments and Pages installed, the upgrade will be available through the Manage Add-ons page as normal.

User Interface Updates

We have improved the user interface to improve your experience. Since sharing a page is not a daily task, we did not want to clutter your pages.

To share a page, go to the page tools menu, and choose Share this Page...

However, a shared page is something to be noted. So, we indicate this new state with a visible Shared banner.

Shared Page Improvements

We've improved the way the shared pages are rendered in Confluence.  The public view of shared pages will now look much more like what you see when using Confluence normally.

Other updates to page sharing are

  • blog posts can now be shared just like pages

  • attachments used in a shared page are now automatically shared as well ensuring that images work as expected

  • No labels
