Updates and Resolved Issues

FEATURES

  • Now, you can share selected migration data with Appfire’s support team for quicker issue resolution purposes.

Overview

IMPROVEMENTS

  • With this release, Cloud Migration Tool is able to modify destination projects without issues. This is possible in the case you add a project to the migration, and it matches a destination project without issues. Cloud Migration Tool will modify the destination project to contain any changes from the source project.

  • With this release, we extend the JSON transformation functionality and add the ability to map source and destination users by ID. This way, by providing the destination user’s ID in the mapping file, you can map or remap a source user to a chosen destination user.

  • New logo: We’ve changed the logo design of Configuration Manager Cloud Migration Tool. By updating our brand identity, we want to reinforce Appfire’s solution-first approach and commitment to our purpose — to be an irreplaceable part of how teams collaborate, no matter how they want to work.

  • Cloud Migration Tool is now compatible with Jira 9.12.2.

RESOLVED

  • Fixed a problem where the migration failed when it contained a user that had been suspended in the Jira Cloud site.

  • Fixed a problem where the migration failed when the description of a custom event in a notification scheme was missing.

  • Fixed a problem where the migration failed as a notification couldn’t be added to a notification scheme.

  • Fixed a problem where transitions from the same status with duplicate names were causing migration failures. Now, during the migration analysis, you’ll be notified that there are transitions from the same status with duplicate names.

Sharing migration data with Appfire’s support team

When support representatives from Appfire get in touch with you, you can now swiftly share migration data with them. The purpose of this feature is to expedite the resolution of your issues. At every migration stage, you have the option to turn data sharing on.

The choices for deployment data sharing include:

  • Sharing your source Jira Server/Data Center’s configuration and issues

  • Sharing the transformations you applied to the configuration before running the migration

  • Sharing configuration from the destination Jira Cloud site
