BigPicture roles

There are two kinds of BigPicture roles.

App roles

Necessary for access to the BigPicture app.

Based on an app role, a user can:

  • access the app

  • access and manage app settings

Box roles

Necessary for access to boxes.

Based on box roles:

  • a user can access particular boxes

  • perform actions in boxes

  • access and manage box settings

BigPicture access

Description

Admin

monday.com admins always have full access to the BigPicture app.

They are treated as BigPicture Admins, even if the role hasn’t been assigned to them. However, they are not listed as BigPicture app admins unless they have been assigned the role.

Member

Members can be granted access to BigPicture.

BigPicture-specific roles need to be assigned to those users.

App roles:

  • App Admin

  • App User

  • App Resource Admin

Box roles:

  • Box Admin

  • Box Editor

  • Box Viewer

  • Sub-box Creator

Viewer

Viewers and Guests do NOT have access to the BigPicture app.

BigPicture app handles the Viewers and Guests as normal Resources and displays their information:

  • can be assigned to tasks

  • can be added to BigPicture teams

  • can be assigned to a workload plan

  • can be assigned to a holiday plan

  • can be assigned to skills

  • can have absences added to track non-working days
