Jira Cloud: Tickets by Assets object

This article explains how to create a report that shows the list of issues by Asset custom field.

1. Pre-requisite: The Asset objects type custom fields are configured and available in Jira issues. For reference, the Location and Model custom fields are defined and configured.

2. Create a List report

   1. Go to Jira > Reports and Timesheets > Custom Report

   2. By default report type is selected as List

   3. Click on the fields in the left-hand side fields selector to add them to the report

      1. Common: Issue Key, Issue Type

      2. Custom Fields: Model, Location

         1. Location -

            1. Group the results by this Asset custom field.

            2. To report only issues that contain Location field values, add the filter.

               

      3. Click Run to view the result.
