Renamе custom fields
You can safely rename custom fields as well. When you hover over the name of a custom field, you see a pencil icon indicating that the name is editable.
Renaming a custom field also updates all JQL queries within filters and agile boards where the field is used by name. These JQL queries are updated with the new custom field name.
Inline edit
After you click on the name header of a configuration element, you are ready to change the name inline.
Power Admin displays the progress of the rename operation for custom fields.
Duplicate names are allowed with warnings
While you rename a custom field, if you set the name of an already existing custom field, you will see a warning.
Power Admin doesn't forbid duplicate names but warns you that it is not recommended as it may lead to unpredictable results returned from JQLs where the custom field is used by name.
