Overview
When Comala Document Management is installed in your instance, you can use the Add Workflow byline on a page to add a workflow to the page.
The Add Workflow byline is displayed
when there is no active workflow on the page
for a user with edit permission for the page
Depending on your Confluence user permissions, you can use the byline to select and apply a workflow to the page or open the document management dashboard to apply a workflow to all the pages and blog posts in a space.
Using the Add Workflow byline
Choose the Add Workflow byline to open the Add a Workflow dialog box.
Different options are displayed in the dialog box depending on your role and Confluence user permissions:
Page editor
For a user with Confluence edit permission for the page, the dialog box displays the Add Workflow to this Page option.
choose Add Workflow to this Page
The page editor can select a workflow to apply to the page.
The Add workflow dialog box is populated with all the workflows in the document management dashboard for the space. You can choose View Detail to inspect the workflow as a visual flowchart or scroll down to view any additional available workflows in the space.
Select a workflow and choose Apply to add the workflow to the page.
Depending on the workflow, some setup can be required before it is added and applied to the page. For example, the Content Expiry Workflow requires you to set up and save the workflow page parameter value used for the Approved state expiration.
Successful application is confirmed in an on-screen message.
If the page view is not updated, refresh it to view it with the added workflow and show the added workflow state byline.
Space administrator
For a space administrator, the dialog box also includes the Add Workflow to this Space option.
As a space administrator, you can choose Add Workflow to this Space option to
open the document management dashboard in the space
select a workflow
make the workflow active and apply it to all the pages in the space
