Before migrating from Jira Server/Data Center to Jira Cloud
To perform migrations to the cloud, you need to install the install Cloud Migration Tool on your Jira Server or Data Center instance and and Configuration Manager on on your Jira Cloud site.In the future, the Configuration Manager for Jira Cloud app will handle your cloud-to-cloud migrations. But, for now, it allows you to successfully create connections between Jira Server/Data Center and Jira Cloud.

Prerequisites
🌍 Jira Server/Data Center needs to must have Internet access. If your Jira Server/Data Center has limited access to the Internet, you must allow it to access accessto Appfire resources to connect to the Jira Cloud site.If internet access is restricted, ensure connectivity to ourCloud API and file storage is permitted.
You need to have need Jira System Administrators permissions on Jira Server/Data Center and Jira Cloud.
You need to have site Site or organization Organization admin permissions on the Jira Cloud site to create connections and perform migrations. This means that the user you use to create a connection to Jira Cloud must be added to the site-admins or org-admins group on the Jira Cloud site. You must install Cloud Migration Tool on your Jira Server/Data Center. Visit the installation instructions.
