What to know

• Anyone can easily setup notifications in teams from activities that happen in Jira

• Each connector can have it's own filters and projects for notifications

Adding a connector to your team(s)

1. Navigate to the team you want to setup notifications

2. Click the three-dots in the top right of that team

3. Select "Connectors"

4. Search for "Jira"

5. Select "Jira Integration+ Connector"

6. Select the Jira events you want to monitor

   1. Select the project(s) you want to get notifications for

   2. Select additional option filters for your notifications

   3. Select the delivery frequency for your notifications

Select the delivery option to batch alerts to that notifications are combined to reduce team channel spam.

Configure JQL-based team notifications

1. From inside your notification control, select "Switch to JQL"

2. Enter your valid JQL syntax

3. Click "Save"

Overview

Because Microsoft has deprecated Microsoft Teams Connectors, we can no longer utilize Connectors to send Channel Notifications. Instead, please follow the instructions below to set up notifications for a channel.

Prerequisites

• Your Microsoft Teams user account must be connected to Jira.

Enable channel notifications

1. Open the channel you would like to configure.

2. Type: @Jira Integration Plus configure to the Jira Integration Plus bot in the message bar.

3. Click the Channel notification settings in the bot response message.

Configure channel notifications

1. Configure the events you want to be notified about:

   • An issue is created

   • A comment is added

   • Assignee is changed

   • Priority is updated

   • An issue is edited

   • An issue is moved to another project

   • An issue is transitioned to another status

2. Choose the status type.

3. Select project(s), issue type(s) and priority level(s).

4. Set the delivery frequency at which you want alerts delivered.

5. Click Save.
