WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) provides an additional view within a Jira issue page. It includes an in-depth and customizable view of the task within the structure.
The WBS Widget comes in handy when you want to access the App and see some of its functionalities inside your Jira projects without entering BigPicture. You can:
- enable the WBS Widget on the Jira issue page
- enable the WBS Widget even if an issue is not in any scope
Enable WBS on issue page
Displays the WBS Widget on the Jira issue page above the “Activity” container (all Jira containers are just above it):

You can enable or disable the WBS widget even if an issue is not in any scope.
Maximum number of issues loaded
Set a limit of issues loaded in the WBS mini-module.
Jira Projects
You can enable the WBS Widget in all Jira Projects or for specific Jira Projects only. If you wish to toggle on selected Jira Projects manually, switch off the "Enable WBS in all Jira Projects" option. Use the search box to find your Jira Projects faster.
Jira Issue types
It is possible to enable the WBS Widget either for all Issue types or the selected ones. If you wish to select the Issue types manually, switch off the "Enable WBS in all Issue types" option. Use the search box to find your Issue types faster.
Security and access
- Only Jira administrators can access this page.
- Click the "wrench" icon at the top right and select "Widgets" from the drop-down list. Next, go to the "WBS Widget" tab.
