Overview
Power Admin for Jira has advanced searching capabilities. One such feature is the Projects filter, which allows you to search for configuration elements based on their usage in projects. You can find all configuration elements of a specific type (workflows, custom, fields, etc.) that are used in projects selected by you.
With the Projects filter, you can also search for configuration elements of a specific type that are not used in any project. For example, you can find all custom fields that are not used in the configuration of any project.
How it works
On the Search page with results, you use the filter called Projects. You can choose between the options None and Selected in the filter itself. With the None filter, you can find all configuration elements which are not used in any project. With the Selected projects filter, you can find all configuration elements which are used in selected Jira projects.
Selected projects
To find configuration elements used in specific projects:
On Power Admin's Landing page select object type and start searching.
On the Search results page, click on the Projects filter.
Then, on the Selected tab choose projects and click Update.
Power Admin finds and lists all objects used by the projects pointed by you.
The filter name changes from Projects to Projects (count) where count indicates the number of selected projects.
After you apply the filter, you can sort the results by the Projects column. If you would like to examine which configuration elements are used in most and least selected projects, click on the Projects column header.
Not used in projects
To find all configuration elements not used in any project:
On Power Admin's Landing page select object type and start searching.
On the Search results page, click on the Projects filter.
Then, select the None tab and click Update.
Power Admin finds and lists all objects which are not used in any project. The filter name changes from Projects to Not Used in Projects.
Clear your filter
To clear the Projects filter:
On the Projects->None/Selected, use the Clear option.
Click the Update button.
The filter is disabled, and later, you can configure it again.
