Box Hierarchy
Introduction
In this article, you will find examples of how you can organize your work using boxes to comply with different methodologies or internal standards.
Agile project
Click the +Add new button.
Select the 'Agile - Agile Project' from the drop-down.
Complete a box name.
Start and end dates are automatically set to today. You can edit start/end dates now or later.
Add monday boards to populate the scope of a box.
Adjust the icon and its color for a box.
Click Create.
Next, you can add the Iteration box type as sub-boxes.
This way, you can create a Box hierarchy with a few clicks. If you want to adjust the dates directly on the timeline, switch to Timeline mode:
Portfolio
The Portfolio box type has the "Scope type" set to "None" by default. This means that users will not be able to add tasks to this box nor to define the scope as it aggregates data from the sub-boxes.
To organize your boxes into portfolios use drag and drop when in the Hierarchy mode of the Overview module. You can add new boxes to the Portfolio or move existing boxes.
Data aggregation
Whenever you add a box with the Scope type set to "Own" the App will roll up the time tracking estimates and calculate the progress.
