This article explains how to fix “The data source doesn't exist, or you do not have permissions.” error and “This Jira Instance“ datasource functionality.
\uD83D\uDCD8 Instructions
To collaborate on the same gadgets with the same datasource, create a new datasource with the permission of “My organization.” Thus, any logged user in that instance can use that datasource.
1. Navigate to Apps > Dashboard Hub
2. Click on Three dots next to the Edit button >> Select Add Datasource
3 . Select Jira
4. Add Name and Instance URL >> Set permissions to organization
5. Click Add
Changing the datasource on the existing gadget will remove the configuration. The user will have to reconfigure the gadget or re-create the dashboard with new datasource
Functionality -
The “This Jira instance” datasource is private for each user, so each user has their own “This Jira instance” datasource. If a gadget uses a private datasource, then only the datasource owner can use it. This is intended for security reasons, so there are no data leaks and users getting information using other users' credentials.
Our roadmap includes the ability to grant permissions to datasources. Users will be able to share their datasources with other users, giving permissions in data sources more granularity beyond just “Private” or “My organization.”
