Discover our latest feature updates and improvements for JQL Search Extensions for Jira Cloud.

Deprecation of Subqueries feature

From October 30, 2023, the Subqueries feature is no longer available in JQL Search Extensions. This change affects customers with saved JQL subqueries who installed the app before April 2021.

The 6-month deprecation plan was communicated to these customers with recommendations to convert any subqueries through Extended Search before the feature was deprecated. Extended Search provides an equivalent function for every subquery JQL keyword with better performance and reliability.

JQL Search Extensions for Jira has a new logo, created in line with Appfire rebranding. Check out our new website to learn more about the solutions we offer.

New JQL Search Extensions button

We added a JQL Search Extensions button to the issue advanced search bar in Jira to help new users discover and use Extended Search. Click this button to open the Extended Search page.

New users who perform a search with Jira’s JQL search feature are shown a message that announces the availability of the JQL Search Extensions app and how to access it from the Apps menu in Jira.
