Secure Content administration

Confluence administrators can access a full paginated list of all secure content blocks systemwide. As this can be an extensive list, you can filter by key and owner to view the required secure content blocks.

Applicable for Data Center

A Confluence administrator can block all activities on all apps with the read-only mode. If the Read-only field under Maintenance is selected, all of the app components are disabled. Thus, unless the secure content is implicitly rendered, the block itself and all its buttons are greyed out, and an error message is displayed about the mode being active.

Customize styles for Secure Content Blocks

Confluence administrators can define or override styles in Stylesheet under the LOOK AND FEEL section. The app uses the sc-message-block class to define how all secure content blocks appear on all pages, by default. Note that, by default, this class is not defined nor is visible in Stylesheet. As a Confluence administrator, you can add and override the sc-message-block class to customize the styles of all secure content blocks as per your company standards.

Editable links

As long as the administrator has access to each secure content block, the Key field provides a clickable link to the secure content block editor so you can make edits without having to locate the secure content block on referenced pages.

Transfer ownership to any user

Now, administrators can transfer ownership of a secure content block to any other Confluence user in the system. To transfer ownership, click the user icon, type the name of the user and save it.

Owners can turn off the Transferable option for a specific content block to prevent administrators from re-assigning ownership of their content.

After transferring the ownership of secure content block, the administrator gets the popup notification. Also, previous and new owner get the notifications as shown:
