I want to migrate SLA data from one instance (on-premise) to another (on-premise)
Context: A user wants to migrate from the current Jira instance to another instance. Both of the instances are self-hosted. The user wants to migrate the SLA data.
Use Case: As a Team Leader, I want to migrate from the current Jira instance to another instance. Both of the instances are self-hosted, and I want to migrate the SLA data as well.
Solution: Using Time to SLA’s Import/Export feature!
Solution
Time to SLA should be installed in both instances.
Issue histories should be intact in the destination instance.
If you want to regenerate SLA data for a large number of issues, we suggest performing the migration during off-peak hours.
Step 1
Export your SLA configurations and calendars using the Import/Export feature. You can follow our guide.
Step 2
Import your TTS export file into your destination instance using the Import/Export feature. You can follow our guide.
Step 3
Navigate to the SLA Recalculation menu in the Time to SLA top menu, enter a JQL that determines the scope of the regeneration, and click Generate.
You can follow the progress in the progress bar.
