Error while connecting Service Management instance with Slack while installing Helpdesk+

Problem:

  • Error while connecting Service Management instance with Slack while installing Helpdesk+.

  • During the installation of the application, experienced an issue labeled "fix problem." Upon selecting this option to resolve the error, redirected back to the initial screen.

  • Encountered a blank screen while configuring.

  • Getting error message - “Unable to authenticate. Application Link no longer working. Contact your Jira Administrator.”

Solution:

Here are a few simple steps to resolve this issue -

  1. Navigate to Jira Settings and select Products.

     

  2. Access "Application links" and verify the presence of the application link.

     

  3. If the application link exists, review and ensure it matches the specified configuration.

     

  4. If the link is not visible, create a new one. Note: Even if an application link exists, it must be deleted and recreated.

     

     

Note: Even if you have an application link, You need to delete it and create it again.
