How to create an announcement with text in different colors using Announcer for Confluence

This article contains instructions to create an announcement with text in different colors using the Announcer for Confluence app. Use HTML tags to specify the color(s) for the announcement text.

Instructions

  1. Log in as an administrator into your Confluence instance.
  2. Click Cog wheel () > Manage apps.
  3. Scroll to Announcer for Confluence and click Get started. Or, select Announcements under the ANNOUNCER FOR CONFLUENCE section from the sidebar on the left.
  4. Click Create one now to create an announcement for the first time.

    If you have any existing announcement(s), click Add another notification.

  5. Enter the basic details for the announcement in the Announcement editor window. Refer to this guide for more details.
  6. Click Show advanced options... to configure additional settings and select HTML from the drop-down list.
  7. Enter the required HTML code in Contents. The code in the following screenshot specifies to display some text in red and another in green:
  8. Click Preview for a preview of the announcement, or, click Save.

By default, few HTML tags and attributes are supported for use in the HTML Contents editor. You can add more HTML tags and attributes from the Announcer Global Configuration settings as specified in this guide.
