Copy Page Tree - Server/Data Center - 2.6.42

Copy Page Tree version 2.6.42 introduces two new options for copying a page tree: “Copy Labels” and “Copy Properties”

Copy Labels

Page labels can now be optionally copied for a Copy Page Tree operation. In previous releases page labels were always copied with no option for disabling the copying of labels.

The default is for the “Copy Labels” checkbox to be checked/enabled. This maintains the original behavior, which was to copy labels by default.

Copy Properties

Content (page) properties can now be optionally copied for a Copy Page Tree operation. In previous releases content (page) properties were not copied and there was no option for copying them.

Content properties are used in many places. For example, many plugins use content properties to persist their data.

A survey or vote macro may persist votes as content properties (scoped to the page the macro is on). When you copy that page, if you check the “Copy Properties” checkbox, then the content properties will be copied and you will see persisted votes on the new copy of the page. If you uncheck the “Copy Properties” checkbox then the persisted votes are NOT copied and not available on the new copy of the page.

The default is for the “Copy Properties” checkbox to be checked/enabled. This is a change in behavior because previous versions did not copy content properties. This default behavior was chosen to match that of our Copy Page Tree - Cloud plugin, to provide a consistent user experience between Server and Cloud.
