Connecting Confluence to Salesforce

This guide will help you to connect Confluence to Salesforce. If you haven't done so, review System and platform requirements before proceeding with the following steps.

There is also a guide to disconnect from Salesforce.

Prerequisites

  • Publisher for Confluence Cloud to Salesforce must already be installed.

  • You must have an administrator account on Salesforce.

  • You need to be an Atlassian Cloud site admin.

Connecting to Salesforce

  1. In your Confluence site, click on ⚙ (Settings) .

  2. In the left sidebar, scroll down to the Salesforce Publisher section, and click on Connection.

  3. In the Connection window, click on Connect to Salesforce.

  4. Choose to connect to either a Sandbox or a Production environment.

  5. Click Authorize to continue.

  6. You will be redirected to the Salesforce login page. Enter your Salesforce username and password, and click Log In.

  7. You might need to authorize the connection. Click Allow.

  8. If successful, you'll see the page updated with the connection status set to "Authorized".

Your Confluence instance is now connected to Salesforce. You can continue with Configuring mappings and Configuring permissions.

Disconnecting from Salesforce

  1. In your Confluence site, click on the gear icon (Settings) .

  2. In the left sidebar, scroll down to the Salesforce Publisher section, and click on Connection.

  3. In the connection panel, click on the '...' button, then choose Delete.
Note that this will remove the authentication key from the publisher and hide all existing links between Confluence and Salesforce. Should you decide to connect to the same Salesforce instance again, the existing links associated with the instance will appear again.
