Setting up articles
Quick terminology guide
A Record type will be used to classify published articles. You will create one and then as part of the Publisher configuration you are going to select it to publish new articles.
A Record type is associated with a Page Layout. You are going to do that association explicitly.
A Page Layout contains fields that will be rendered when you access your articles. Those fields require a certain configuration that this page details.
This page shows you how to create a Record Type, a Page Layout and its required fields.
Default Record Type created
The latest version of the connector now creates a default Record Type in Salesforce. If this works for you, you can skip the "Create Record Type" section and proceed to the "Create Page Layout" section below it.

On the Knowledge Object Manager page, select Record Types on the left, then click on New at the top right (or select an existing one).
Configure the record type and save.

On the Knowledge Object Manager page, select Page Layouts on the left, then click on New at the top right (or select an existing one).

Click on Page Layout Assignment at the top right.
Click on Edit Assignment.
