Create your Dataplane Server/Data Center reports in Dashboard Hub Pro Cloud

Overview

Dashboard Hub Pro is evolving into the counterpart of Dataplane Reports for Jira Cloud. Currently, it is on a path to incorporate the greatest Dataplane functionalities, enabling seamless data management. On this page, you will discover step-by-step instructions for configuring your Dataplane reports on Dashboard Hub Pro Cloud. If you have any questions, please get in touch with our support team.

Configuration steps

Below are the steps to configure any Dataplane report type in the Dashboard Hub Pro Cloud.

1. Navigate to Apps > Dashboard Hub.

2. To configure the Dataplane report, quickly create the Dashboard. At the top right, click the ellipses (…) and select Create Dashboard.

3. Enter the Name and Description, and set the access restriction for the Dashboard. For more information, refer to Create a Dashboard.

4. Create a blank dashboard or use one of the provided templates. To choose a template, click Change Template. For more information about templates, refer to Use a template.

5. Click Create.

6. The screen Welcome to your Dashboard screen appears. Click Add Gadget to open the gadgets catalog menu. For more information about gadgets, refer to What is a Gadget?

7. To configure the required Dataplane report under the Jira product, select the corresponding gadget to add to the current Dashboard. To know the feature parity for both products and which gadget to choose, refer to Dataplane Server/Data Center vs Dashboard Hub Cloud Feature Comparison.

8. Provide the gadget configurations similar to the Dataplane report you want to configure and click Add.

9. To save the Dashboard configurations, click Save.

Scenario

Configure the Dataplane report type Current Issue Assignees in Dashboard Hub Pro Cloud

Dataplane report use case: Consider the current metrics Dataplane report showing the data from the JQL query "status = Open", broken down by Assignee.

• Report type: Current Issue Assignees

• JQL: status = Open

• Chart Type: Pie chart

Report result: 

Configure a similar report type Current Issue Assignees in Dashboard Hub Pro Cloud

1. From the Dashboard drop-down, select the Dashboard to configure the report. To create a new Dashboard, refer to Create Dashboard.

2. Click Add Gadget, to configure the Current Issue Assignees report under the Jira product.

3. Select the gadget, JQL Custom Charts (relevant to the Dataplane: Current Issue Assignees report), to add to the current Dashboard. To know the feature parity for both products and which gadget to choose, refer to Dataplane Server/Data Center vs Dashboard Hub Cloud Feature Comparison.

1. Provide the gadget configurations similar to the Dataplane report you want to configure and click

Add.

• Name: Current Issue Assignees_StatusOpen

• Datasource: This Jira Instance

• JQL : status = “To Do”

• View Type: Pie chart

• Customize the chart by selecting the appropriate field values for Chart By, Aggregation, and Field. For more information about JQL Custom Charts, refer to JQL Custom Charts.

Report result:

Once you provide all the configuration details the report is generated. To add the gadget to the Dashboard, click Add.

To save the Dashboard configurations, click Save.

You see that a similar report is configured in Dashboard Hub Pro Cloud. Similarly, you can add more gadgets and configure the other report types in the Dashboard.
