Dashboard gadgets

Do you use Jira dashboards and want to stay on top of your OKRs without leaving the platform? OKR gadgets are the perfect solution. They allow you to see key OKR information directly on your dashboard alongside other project metrics and statistics.

Currently, two OKR gadgets are available:

  • OKR List: Displays a customizable list of all OKRs.

  • My OKRs Progress: Shows your personal OKR progress for a selected period.

Adding a dashboard gadget

  1. Navigate to any Jira dashboard and click Edit > Add Gadget.

  2. Type “OKR” to find the OKR gadgets.

  3. Click Add next to the desired gadget.

  4. The gadget will appear on your dashboard.

OKR List gadget

This gadget displays a list of OKRs that you can configure based on your needs. For example, you can configure it to track different things like your OKRs, your team's OKRs, OKRs that need attention, etc. Here's how to customize it:

  1. After adding the gadget, you'll be in editing mode.

  2. Choose the desired period (e.g., week, month, quarter).

  3. Add or remove columns to display different information about your OKRs (e.g., objective, key result, owner, status) by using the Column layout.

  4. Adjust column widths for better visibility.

  5. Apply filters to narrow down the displayed OKRs (e.g., by team, objective, status) by clicking Filtering options.

  6. Once you're satisfied, click Save changes.

The editing capabilities will disappear. You can always change the setup by clicking on the three-dots menu and selecting Configure.

Remember, you can create multiple OKR List gadgets with different configurations for various purposes.

My OKRs Progress gadget

This feature allows you to monitor your OKRs and track their progress. Once the item is added, you can choose a specific time frame to view the OKRs.

  1. After adding the gadget, select the period you want to view (e.g., week, month, quarter).

  2. Choose what information you want to see:

    • Objectives: Shows the number of objectives in different active statuses.

    • Key results: Displays the number of key results in different active statuses.

  3. Choose the specific statuses you want to display for both objectives and key results (e.g., On Track, At Risk, Off Track).

  4. Optionally, enable the Display the number of OKRs that are in other statuses that chosen above to see the combined number of OKRs that fall outside the chosen statuses.

  5. Click Save.

Based on your configuration, the gadget will display:

  • The number of Objectives and/or Key Results within each selected status.

  • Your overall progress percentage for the chosen period.

  • The number of days remaining until the period ends.

To edit the configuration, click the three-dots menu and select Configure.
