How to create a component version

  1. In Octo, navigate to the Component releases tab.

  2. Click Create Component Version.

  1. Fill the required fields:

    • Version name

    • Link a Component

  2. Fill the optional fields:

    • Description

    • Start date

    • Release date

    • Project release version - in case you want to include the component release in your project release.

5. Click Save to create a new component version.

You can see the newly created version in the Components releases list in Octo and you can now link issues to this version.

Who can create a component releases

At the moment everyone who has access to your Jira can create and manage Component versions in Octo.
