JSU for Jira Server

This is the documentation of JSU for Jira Server/Data Center. If you are using JSU on Jira Cloud, see our JSU Cloud Installation documentation.

JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows (JSU) is easy to use and even easier to set up. Follow the instructions below for installing or upgrading JSU in Jira.

Before you begin

  • You must be a Jira administrator to carry out the instructions on this page.

  • Before you install or upgrade JSU, ensure that you select a version of the app that is compatible with your Jira version. See version compatibility on the Atlassian Marketplace. 

  • JDK and browser requirements for the JSU app match the relevant Jira requirements. See the Jira Supported Platforms page to check the version of Jira that you are using.

Install JSU

Installing JSU is similar to installing any other Jira app with the Universal Plugin Manager (see Managing add-ons in the Jira documentation).

To install JSU:

  1. Log in to Jira as a Jira administrator.

  2. Select the Administration cog in the navigation bar, then select Manage Apps (or Add-ons). The Find New Apps page is displayed.

  3. Type JSU in the search field and press Enter. The JSU app displays in the search results.

  4. Click Free Trial (or Buy Now) and select your hosting requirements. Trial licenses are valid for 30 days.

  5. Complete the licensing details for your selected license type. A confirmation message and app details appear once the installation is complete.

Update JSU

Updating JSU is similar to updating any other Jira app with the Universal Plugin Manager (see Managing add-ons in the Jira documentation).

To update JSU:

  1. Log in to Jira as a Jira administrator.

  2. Select the Administration cog icon and select Manage Apps (or Add-ons).

  3. Select Manage apps under Atlassian Marketplace in the left sidebar. 

  4. Locate JSU in the list of installed apps and click Update.
