JSU for Jira Server/Data Center

This is the documentation for JSU for Jira Server/Data Center. Project Variables apply only to the Server/Data Center version of our app. If you are using JSU on Jira Cloud, see our JSU Cloud documentation.

Description

Project variables let you configure project-related variables which can then be used in other modules. Currently, project variables are only used with JSU’s Create a Linked Issue post function.

Configuration 

To access project variables, go to the Project Administration page and select Project Variables in the Actions dropdown.

Examples of project variable key and value pairs.

Project variables are simple key/value pairs for maximum flexibility.

  • Adding a new value: It will always display 10 rows to enter new key/values.

  • Removing values: Click the Trash icon at the end of a row to remove a key/value pair.

Examples

Valid project variable keys are determent by their modules, for example, for creating linked Issues, the following pattern is used for the key:

createLinkedIssueTargetProjectKey.<Workflow Name>.<Transition Id>
