1. Visibility

By default, the app is visible on every board. Jira System Administrators can limit its visibility to the selected boards only. To do that, click Manage visibility. Here you can see all your projects and manage the Agile Poker visibility inside those projects. You can perform this action in bulk.

You can also toggle Automatically enable Agile Poker for newly created boards.

2. Google Analytics

Agile Poker Enterprise uses Google Analytics to collect data on app usage. It's enabled by default, but you can toggle the Google Analytics checkbox to disable it.

We encourage you to keep Google Analytics enabled. We use anonymous usage statistics to improve Agile Poker for Jira to fit your needs better. Please refer to the our data policy and the privacy policy provided by Appfire.

3. Communication type (Real-time client-server communication protocol)

Agile Poker interactive sessions take advantage of the Atmosphere framework to facilitate real-time communication between the user browser and the Jira Server. By default, Long Polling technique is used.

However, depending on your company network infrastructure, you might benefit from changing to another communication mechanism. Currently, Agile Poker allows us to choose between Long Polling and Server-Sent Events. Note the latter is not supported by Internet Explorer. Read more in our troubleshooting guide.

To change the communication protocol, click the dropdown, and select the desired option.

4. Jira database CHARACTER SET check

When this checkbox is unchecked (default behavior), the system performs a regular check of your Jira database's character set configuration. If any issues are detected, appropriate warnings or error messages will be displayed.

By checking the Disable box, you explicitly acknowledge the following:

  • You are fully aware that your Jira database or its connection might be misconfigured regarding the character set.

  • You understand that disabling the check could lead to Agile Poker functioning improperly or other unexpected issues within Jira.

  • You assume full responsibility for any problems that may arise due to the disabled check and incorrect character set configuration.

Important Note: Disabling the check is discouraged unless you have full confidence in your database configuration and are prepared to handle potential issues.
