Enhancements
New Workflow editor support
JMWE is coming to Jira’s new Workflow editor! Full JMWE support within the new workflow editor will be introduced.
Extensions
New post function - Send Slack notification
A new post function will be added to JMWE, enabling you to send notifications to Slack channels.
Add the “Run as” option to the Set Issue Security Level post function
The Set Issue Security Level post function will be updated to include the Run as option similar to most other post functions.
Bug fixes
The following bugs are planned for resolution in this release:
Scheduled Actions editor allows blank spaces in the ‘Run as’ configuration option - The Run as configuration option is incorrectly allowing blank spaces instead of a script that returns a value, which causes errors in the execution of the Scheduled action.

Enhancements
Automations
Project admins will be able to create their own JMWE automation that applies to only the projects they administer! This update opens JMWE automation up to an entirely new group of Jira admins, allowing them to create and maintain project-level JMWE automation. These tools will include approval workflows for site administrators to review and approve automation before it is enabled.
Scripting
JavaScript as alternative to Nunjucks
In addition to supporting both Nunjucks and Jira expressions, JMWE will be updated to support JavaScript in scripted fields and configuration options that use scripts to generate values.
Extensions
New post function - Create Confluence page
A new post function will be added to JMWE, enabling you to create a Confluence page within a specified space.
Expanded options for Event-based Action limits
Appfire is exploring options for expanding the number of Event-based actions that can be created; the current limitation is an Atlassian limitation on the number of dynamic Webhooks that can be created in a single instance.
Ignore inactive users in user picker fields
The Set issue fields, Copy issue fields, and Create issue(s) post functions will be updated to ignore inactive users when configuring user picker fields.
