JMCF 2.0 Beta Program
Welcome to the JMCF 2.0 Beta Program!
If you become an active participant in our Beta Program by testing JMCF 2.0 and providing us with your feedback, we’ll be happy to extend to you a 50% discount on JMCF 2.0, should you decide to purchase it.
Installing the Beta app
Unfortunately, the Beta version of JMCF 2.0 cannot be installed from the Atlassian Marketplace and needs to be installed manually. Please note that while the upgrade to JMCF 2.0 will not modify your Jira instance configuration and you can easily revert to JMCF 1.7.x, we still recommend that you only install the Beta version on a test instance.
To install it, follow these steps:
- Download the JMCF 2.0 Beta app: jira-misc-custom-fields-2.0.0-Beta2.jar
- Log into your Jira instance as an administrator.
- Go to the Administration icon and click on it.
- Locate Add-ons from the menu and click on it.
- Click on Manage add-ons.
- Click on and upload the jar file your downloaded in step 1.
You have now uploaded the new version of the Jira Misc Custom Fields (JMCF) app. To verify that the installation was successful, see Post-Installation.
Once the final version of JMCF 2.0 is released, you will need to uninstall the Beta app and re-install JMCF from the Find new add-ons page - otherwise, Jira will stop offering upgrades to newer versions. For more information, see Installing within Jira.
Also, please note that the Beta version of JMCF 2.0 will stop working on January 15, 2019.
Learning about JMCF 2.0
We strongly recommend that you read the JMCF 2.0 documentation available here.
In particular, we encourage you to read about Upgrading from 1.x to 2.x, which also explains how to revert to JMCF 1.7.x, should you need to.
Asking questions and providing feedback
If you have any question or want to provide feedback, please use the same support ticket on which you requested, and were granted, access to the Beta program (this makes it much easier to track your questions and feedback, as well as our answers).
Please report any bugs you might detect, usability issues, missing product features, and anything else you think our team should know and address. You can also submit feature requests for our future product releases.
Thank you for beta testing and for supporting Innovalog.
