Enable and Disable Clone Operations
On this page:
Summary
Once you install Clone Plus for Jira, two new clone operations are available for issues in addition to the standard clone operation provided natively by Jira:
Clone+ : This allows you to clone issues within the same project.
Clone++: This allows you to clone issues in different projects and of different issue type.
If you do not want all of these clone operations available to users, you can selectively disable one or more clone operations. Moreover, you can easily provide more specific, customized clone operations to suit your development process. The app provides an additional 16 clone operations available for customization. When you install Clone Plus for Jira for the first time, by default they are disabled. They can be enabled easily as you required. The app remembers which operations are enabled on upgrades.
Steps to disable the standard clone operation
The Clone+ operations provide equivalent and enhanced support; you can disable the provided clone operation using the following steps:
Sign in to your Jira instance as a Jira administrator.
In the top navigation bar, select Administration > Manage apps.
In the left sidebar of the Manage apps page, select Manage apps.
Select System to view the system apps.
In the Filter visible apps field, search for Issue Operation Plugin.
In Issue Operation Plugin, expand the modules.
Hover over the View Issue Ops Bar Clone Link clone operation and click Disable.
The View Issue Ops Bar Clone Link clone operation is disabled.
