Goal
This section list the necessary JIRA configuration before starting using Impact for JIRA.
Activate Issue Linking
Impact for JIRA will let you do traceability analysis on linked issues. To activate the issue linking (if deactivated) or to create new issue link types, refer to the Atlassian documentation:Â Configuring Issue Linking
JIRA Agile or JIRA Software Epic Links
Impact for JIRA will let you do traceability analysis on Epic Links. To use this functionality, make sure that JIRA Agile (see Marketplace) or JIRA Software (for JIRA 7) is installed on your JIRA instance.
Once installed, you will be able to select "Epic Links" from the issue link types (See Traceability Analysis View).
Issues inserted in Confluence page
Impact for JIRA will let you do traceability analysis of JIRA issues inserted in Confluence page ("mentioned in"). To use this functionality, make sure Confluence is installed and a valid application link is configured between your JIRA and your Confluence instance (see Application Links User Guide).
Once installed, you will be able to select "Confluence Links" from the issue link types (See Traceability Analysis View).
