Before you begin

  • You must be a Jira administrator to carry out the instructions on this page.

  • Browser requirements for the Issue Matrix app match the relevant Jira Cloud requirements. See the Supported Browsers page.

Installing Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud

Installing the Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud app is no different from installing any other Jira app (see Managing apps in the Jira documentation). You can install Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud directly from the Jira Cloud’s Find apps page in the Admin section. Simply search for Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud.

To install the Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud app:

  1. From Jira’s top navigation bar, choose Settings > Apps.

  2. Then search by the Issue Matrix name.

  3. After the Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud appears, follow the prompts to Get app, or get a Free trial.
    You will see a confirmation message and the app details if installed successfully.

  4. Be aware, that you need a license for Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud. You might choose an evaluation license for the first 30 days.

Updating Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud

Automatic updates

If the new Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud version is backward compatible, the update to your Jira Cloud site will happen automatically and transparently to you. All customer instances are updated over a period of up to 33 hours after publishing the release.

Regular updates are applied automatically to Jira Cloud sites.

However, in some cases like major updates introducing changes that are not backward compatible with the app’s current version, you might need to approve the update first. In such cases, you’ll be notified by email about pending update approval.

Uninstalling Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud

  1. Click the Apps menu on the Jira Cloud main menu.

  2. On the Manage apps page, type Issue Matrix in the search field.

  3. After the Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud app appears, click the Uninstall button to remove the app.

  4. After confirmation, the Issue Matrix for Jira Cloud app will be uninstalled.
