Installing Power Database Fields PRO™
Power Database Fields PRO™ consists of the app itself and one dependency – SIL Engine™ – a library with utility routines and the SIL language parser. We recommend that you install SIL Engine™ updates as soon as they appear.
Installing
Installing Power Database Fields PRO™ is a standard procedure and is done via Universal Plugin Manager (UPM). For more information about UPM, refer to Atlassian documentation.
To install add-ons you must have Admin permissions in Jira.
Installing directly from the Atlassian Marketplace
If you are connected to the Atlassian Marketplace website from your Jira administration console, you can install Power Database Fields PRO™ directly from the Marketplace. For more information, see Atlassian documentation on installing add-ons.
- Log into your Jira as Admin.
- In the cog wheel menu, go to Add-ons.
- In the search field of the Find new add-ons section, search for Power Database Fields PRO™ app.
This installation method is the quickest way. You can also install by file upload, as described in the next section.
Installing by file upload
- Download Power Database Fields PRO™ file from the Atlassian Marketplace.
- Log into your Jira as Admin.
- From Jira administration console, click the Manage add-ons link.
- Click Upload add-on and select the file you downloaded, and click Upload.
Good practice
If you are already using a previous version of this plugin and you are installing a new one, please clear the cache of your browser after the installation to avoid errors due to the javascript changes.
Uninstalling
Uninstalling via Universal Plugin Manager
If you are not familiar with the Atlassian Universal Plugin Manager (UPM), you can read about it here.
- Log into your Jira as Admin.
- From Jira administration console, click the Manage add-ons link.
- In the User-installed add-ons section, search for Power Database Fields PRO™ app.
- Click Uninstall and confirm your choice in the confirmation dialog.
Uninstalling manually
You'll need to uninstall the app first and then remove the corresponding tables in the internal database.
- Go to the folder where Jira server has been installed.
- Access <JIRA_APPLICATION_DATA>/plugins/installed-plugins and manually delete Power Database Fields PRO™ app.
- Restart Jira server.
