Create on Transition for Jira

Create on Transition for Jira provides workflow transition post functions that can be configured to create issues or sub-tasks. The creation can be conditioned on the information from the original or parent issue. The multiple Create on Transition post functions can create multiple issues. These post functions can also be associated with the create issue transition to create issues or sub-tasks when an issue is created automatically. These are the standard post functions added and changed during workflow editing. Shares similar capabilities to Update on Transition for Jira, which has update issues and other functions.

The main features of the app are:

  • Set (or update - Cloud only) the various fields, such as Project, Issue Type, Priority, Reporter, Assignee, Affected version, Fixed version, Components, Summary, Description, Due date, Original estimate, Copy list of custom fields from a parent, Set custom fields, Set labels, Add a link, Set issue security level, Set watchers, Add comment, and so on.

  • Create multiple issues or sub-tasks.

  • Update multiple issues (Cloud only).

  • Avail Conditioned validator (Cloud only) to set the conditions for a transition to proceed to the next step.

  • Prevent duplicate issue creation with JQL-based conditioning.

  • Condition the creation of issues, that is, condition to allow control over whether to create an issue or not based on information from the original issue or transition.

  • Use Substitution variables to provide flexibility to customize the issue before creation.

In Create on Transition for Jira Cloud, all the features supported by Update on Transition for Jira are combined with Create on Transition for Jira making it easy for you to use all the post functions and conditional validator in one app.
