Install the Connector in Jira

This page guides you through installing Connector for Salesforce and Jira in your Jira instance.

Installation

There are two versions of the installation depending on the platform you use:

Cloud

  1. Log into your Jira Cloud.

  2. Click Settings ( ) > Apps. The Discover apps and integrations for Jira page opens.

  3. In the Search for apps field, enter Connector for Salesforce & Jira.

  4. Select the app when it appears in the results list.

  5. Click Try it free to download and install your add-on.

  6. Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog window.

  7. If you're using Jira Service Management, refer to Working with Jira Service Management projects for more information.

  • Prerequisites

    • You must be:

      • An admin of the Jira Cloud instance.

      • Either a technical contact or billing contact of the Jira Cloud instance. To verify, log in to MyAtlassian and ensure the Jira Cloud instance appears on the Licenses page.

Data Center

  1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.

  2. Go to Settings > Add-ons.
    The Find new add-ons screen displays.

  3. Locate Connector for Salesforce & Jira via search.

  4. Select the app when it appears in the results list.

  5. Click Free trial to begin a new trial or Buy it now to purchase a license for Connector for Salesforce & Jira.
    You will be prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Connector for Salesforce & Jira begins to download.

  6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.

  7. Click Apply license.

  • Prerequisites

    • You must be an admin of the Jira Server instance.

Next steps

Once you’ve installed Connector on Jira, switch to Salesforce and Install the Salesforce Package. Installing the Salesforce Package allows the Connector on your Jira instance to interface with Salesforce properly.
