Upgrade to the latest Atlassian release of the Jira software version 9.4.11, 9.10.2, 9.11.1 or higher, which includes the MySQL 8.x fix, and the ActiveObjects library upgraded to version 5.0.3. Refer to Issues resolved in 9.4.11.

Access Permissions

The Jira admin can define which Jira groups can create reports in the add-on or just view the reports created with the add-on and what time tracking information will be accessible to the users in Jira groups.

How to access permissions?

  • From the top navigation bar, click on Administration → Access Permissions to land on the tab shown below

  • The page lists all the Jira groups in user’s Jira instance. For each group, the Jira admin can determine access for

    • Creating Reports: If unchecked, users in the group will not be able to create reports or access the add-on but will be able to see the reports shared with them via dashboards

    • Reporting Time for other users: If unchecked, users in the group will be able to see only Personal Time Tracking information while creating Timesheet Report (only ‘Logged in User’ time)

  • If a user belongs to multiple groups and different permissions are set on the groups then the group which has the highest access defined will be considered as that user’s access

  • Click 'Save' at the bottom on the page to save the settings
