Tickets created vs resolved
Report purpose: Determine the Number of tickets being created vs number of tickets getting resolved. Helps to identify if the capacity is enough to support the demand.
Instructions
The report is created using Reports and Timesheets for Jira app
Go to Jira > Reports and Timesheets > Custom Report
Change the report type to Chart > Line
Click on the fields in the left hand side fields selector to add them to the report
X-Axis => Dates: Created.
Click on the Field settings icon for Created date field
Select a date format for Created date. For example,
for daily count, Format = MMM dd, yyyy
for weekly count, Format = w [week of year]
for monthly count, Format = MM, yyyy
Select the desired date range
Y-Axis => Common: Count of Issues
Click on Add another Axis
Click on the fields in the left hand side fields selector to add them to the report
X-Axis 2 => Dates: Resolved.
Click on the Field settings icon for Resolved date field
Select the same date format for Resolved date that was selected for Created date
Select the same date range for Resolved date that was selected for Created date
Y-Axis 2 => Common: Count of Issues
Click Run
