This page provides an overview of the password policy for Power BI Jira Connector.

Password policy includes the following:

The Connector password must be at least 8 characters long and include a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character (except ':').

  1. Minimum Length - The password must be at least 8 characters long.

  2. Minimum complexity - Password should use each of the following types of characters:

a. Lowercase letters

b. Uppercase letters

c. Numbers

d. Special characters such as #@$%^&

  1. Password limitation - Use of colon ':' in special characters is not supported.

  2. Avoid using dictionary words for passwords.

Set Connector username and password

The Save button is enabled if the password entered is valid and matches in both the Password and Confirm password text boxes.

Password sample

Sample 1: @$P2*a8%

This password consists of 8 characters: one uppercase letter (P), one lowercase letter (a), two numbers (2,8), and special characters (@$*%).

Sample 2: Z&Tt9$$@%1

This password consists of 10 characters: two uppercase letters (Z, T), one lowercase letter (t), two numbers (9,1), and special characters (&$$@%).

  • The Connector URL generated in Power BI Jira Connector cloud instance has anonymous access to users.

  • To secure the Connector URLs, It is recommended to Set a username and password (though the Administrator has not made it mandatory). For more information, refer to My Connectors.
