The General configuration section shows the main properties of the rich filter: name, administrators, and base Jira filter.


For convenience, this section also shows who owns the Jira filter, who it is shared with, and its JQL query. These properties cannot be edited here, but you can use the links to go to their edit pages if Jira allows you to edit them.

Editing the General Configuration

  1. Navigate to the desired Rich Filter.
  2. By default you'll be directed to the General Configuration section.
  3. Edit the configuration as described in the following table:

Change the name, Administrators or Jira Filter

Only Rich Filter's administrators and Jira Administrators can perform this operation.

Simply click on any of the values to edit them inline.

Copy (duplicate) a Rich Filter

You need to have Create Rich Filters permission in order to perform this operation.

Click on the Rich filter menu button and then select the Copy option.

Insert the name of the new rich filter and click the Copy rich filter button. A new rich filter identical with the first one but with the name you have inserted is created.

Delete a Rich Filter

Only Rich Filter's administrators  and Jira Administrators can perform this operation.

Click on the Rich filter menu button and then select the Delete option.

Find all dashboards using the Rich Filter

Only Jira Administrators can perform this operation.

Click the Rich filter menu button and then select the Find dashboards option.

A list with all the dashboards having at least one gadget using this rich filter will be displayed.
