Overview

Unlock the power to tailor how your issues are displayed with Jira Field Configuration. Here’s what you can do.

  • Default Message Format: Customize which fields are always visible.

  • Restricted Fields: Hide specific fields universally.

  • Project Field Configuration: Fine-tune field visibility for specific projects and issue types.

On this page:

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to the Account Portal.

  2. Click Jira Field Configuration on the sidebar.

  3. Click Add Configuration.

Adding a Default Message Format

  1. Select Default Message Format.

  2. Click Next.

  3. Use the search bar to add fields, and the arrows to order them.

    • The first five fields (Summary, Description, Type, Status, and Priority) cannot be reordered; they are only removed.

    • Placing a field among these values will cause it to display below still Priority. The message preview will update live to reflect the updated list.
