This article helps to explain how to disable column grand totals from excel export. 

Instructions

  1. Please check the preferences under My Area > My Preferences.
  2. There is a setting to enable "Exclude totals footer from the exported excel file". Make sure it is unchecked.

  3. Once you uncheck the option "Exclude totals footer from the exported excel file", rerun the report and export it. Now grand totals on the exported excel file are no more displayed. 
  4. Here is a screenshot for reference 
    1. When the option Exclude totals footer from the exported excel file is checked.
    2. When the option, Exclude totals footer from the exported excel file is unchecked.
