How to create versions in bulk using Jira Command Line Interface (CLI)

This article explains how to create versions in bulk using Jira Command Line Interface (CLI).

Instructions

Create a CSV file with the following columns:
- project for the project name.
- version for the version name.
- description for the version description.
- startDate for the version start date.
- date for the version release date:
Combine runFromCsv action with --file parameter and addVersion action with --dateFormat parameter to create versions in bulk. This example works because the CSV file contains the data that is required for the addVersion action with relevant parameters.
