How to add a LaTeX Math formula that uses an underscore (_) in a Confluence page

This article explains how to add a LaTeX Math formula that uses an underscore (_) in a Confluence page.

Instructions

Create a Confluence page.
Edit the page and include the LaTeX Math Block macro.
Add a formula as shown below inside this box. You need to add (\) before the (_) to render the formula in a Latex Math block.
Click Save
Click Publish

Note: Ensure to have the LaTeX Math App installed in the Confluence instance. Please contact your Confluence Administrator to install, if not already done.
