This article explains the limitations regarding anchor links not functioning within connected macros, such as Advanced Tables for Confluence. It outlines the reasons behind this behavior and offers insights into the current functionality.

Issue

There is an issue navigating to an anchor within a table nested within the Table Plus macro. The URL appears to be broken and is not redirecting the page to the designated anchor (You can refer to the below GIF for reference).

Reason

This is a limitation from the Atlassian side. Confluence Cloud macros (dynamic macros such as Advanced Table for Confluence) are rendered inside an iframe. If the macro tries to render an anchor link or includes a macro that generates an anchor link, the link can't be navigated using the standard hashtag navigation.

Hence, the anchor is rendered inside the iframe, and scrolling to anchors contained in child iframes isn't supported by default.
