Foxly is located in the Project menu of each project. All user who has access to the Jira project can access the Foxly Priority tab and edit the metrics.

Can I use the same template in multiple projects?

Yes, you can! You can choose from the existing templates or create a new one and then select it in more projects.

How to access Foxly - Backlog prioritization for Jira

The main Foxly priority table is located in the Project menu of each project. There is also Priority score glance available in every Jira issue.

Is there a way to automate setting the priority of Jira based on the score or metric?

Foxly creates a custom field called “Priority Score“ by default. There is also an option to store metrics in custom fields. You are able to use these fields in Automation for Jira.

Here is an article with an automation example. And here you can find out how to enable storing metrics in the custom field.

Can I add the prioritization score to the backlog view?

For Classic projects yes! The Priority Score is also a custom field that gets kept in sync with the Foxly score number. This means you can configure to show it in both Backlog view and Board view on the issue tiles. This level of customization however is not present in Next-gen projects. Here you can watch a video of how to set this up.

Can I keep the same Foxly priority scores, when transferring issues to another project?

If both of your projects are using the same priority scoring template, then the score is kept. However, if the project to which you’re migrating issues has different priority scoring template, then score will recalculate according to a new template. Verify if both of your projects are using the same template. Do this by following these steps:

  1. In the project, to where you migrated issues, navigate to main Foxly priorities table;

  2. click on Customize button (top right corner);

  3. on the top, you will see a dropdown, where you can see the selected Template.

If this template is different from the one used in the previous project, then you can change it to restore the previous metrics and Score.
