Prerequisites

You can only set up a request for approval on a space that has page approval enabled.

This step is covered under the administrator guide section on Configuring the app page.


Step 1 - Selecting approvers

Go to any page in your space.

  • choose the Page Approval breadcrumb below the page title

  • select Create Approval Request in the pop-up window

  • choose the approval type

For this example, Standard approval is selected as the approval type.

If you see the Select approval template interface for this Step 1, refer to Using approval templates for more information.

  • choose Find a person.. for a dropdown of eligible approvers

  • select the approvers

  • then choose Next to continue


Step 2 - Selecting acknowledgers

  • Select the acknowledgers

  • then choose Next


Step 3 - Setting due date and priority

  • set the Due Date and Priority for the approval

  • choose Send request to submit the approval request

The status changes from Page approval to In review.

A notification is sent to the approvers that an approval request is pending their approval. 

  • choose In review > View Approval Request, to view the current state of the approval request
