Step-by-step upgrade path

Due to major implementations on Security and Encryption for Confluence & Data Center, if you are upgrading from an older version of the app, it is recommended to following the upgrade path provided below.

Step 1:

Upgrade Security and Encryption from version 1.1.0 - 2.5.0 to version 2.5.1.

Step 2:

Upgrade Security and Encryption from version 2.5.1 to version 2.5.2.

Step 3:

Upgrade Security and Encryption from version 2.5.2 - 3.0.6 to version 3.0.7.

Step 4:

Upgrade Security and Encryption from version 3.0.7 to version 3.1.0.

Step 5:

On Security and Encryption version 3.1.0, drop the AO_DCA036_ENCRYPTION_KEY table.

Step 6.

Upgrade Security and Encryption from version 3.1.0 to any latest version.

Upgrade instructions for each app

Before upgrading each app ensure you update Confluence

  • go to Administration > Plugins > Manage Existing.

  • disable the Security and Encryption for Confluence & Data Center app

  • update Confluence

  • update Security and Encryption for Confluence & Data Center through Administration > Plugins > Upgrade

  • enable the Security and Encryption for Confluence & Data Center app
