Step 3 - Reauthorizing the connections

Guide

  1. Under the Reauthorize connections step, click on the Salesforce Connections link provided.

  2. The connection(s) from Classic Connector will be added to the Connection Name list. The connection(s) status will be Not Authorized

  3. On the Connections page, click Authorize and a window will appear. Next, click the Authorize button.

  4. A Salesforce URL and a code are shown to you. Click on the URL (https://login.salesforce.com/setup/connect) in the window. The code will be auto-filled for you.

  5. Click Connect and you will be forwarded to enter your Salesforce credentials.

  6. Enter your username and password and click Log In.

  7. On the “Allow Access” page, click the Allow button to provide access to the Salesforce & Jira Server Connector.

  8. You will be forwarded to a “You’re Connected” page. You have verified the connection. Next, click Continue and you will be logged into the Salesforce environment.

  9. Return to the Connections page mentioned in Jira, and click the Authorize button again.

  10. If the authorization was successful, you can now import the compact layout fields from Salesforce. This will pre-populate the objects and fields available through the connection.
This step is optional, and we recommend reading Configuring connection search results to configure it later.

  11. In the “Import Compact Layouts” window, click I’ll do it later to proceed as the connection(s) configuration will be imported automatically later in the migration.

  12. Return back to the Connector for Salesforce & Jira Migration page and click Continue under Reauthorize connections to proceed.

  13. The green check mark will confirm that the migrated connections(s) are successfully authorized.
